The communications specialist will join the UnitedHealthcare Internal Communications team at Community & State, supporting C&S DSNP communications. This person will assist with key projects and programs, executing on communications initiatives across the DSNP agent audience and in alignment with UHC Sales & Marketing team. This position will report to the C&S Internal Communications Director and work closely with stakeholders, vendors and other communications colleagues at C&S and across UHC. Office Location is 9800 Health Care Lane Minnetonka, MN Primary Responsibilities: Assist with execution of communication plans and programs for C&S DSNP Foster strong, collaborative working relationships with C&S DSNP Agent leaders and Marketing partners, and reflect their priorities in both ongoing and prospective communication programs and events Provide direction and mentorship for stakeholders and partners to align to the DSNP Agent communications strategy and best practices to meet the requirements of the C&S Growth Team Contribute content to the C&S DSNP agent website, collaborating with content owners, both from a vendor and a UHC perspective Writer and contributor of C&S DSNP Agent articles for HUB, where appropriate Serve as a back-up resource in areas such as Epsilon, distribution lists, Cisco Audio / Video technology, and the Brainshark tool for C&S DSNP agent projects Contribute content for town halls and site visits Request and manage print and marketing needs for C&S DSNP agent internal campaigns and initiatives, where appropriate Research communication concepts, channels and engagement tools Monitor and report on efficacy of C&S DSNP agent internal communications, sites and campaigns Monitor the C&S DSNP agent communications budget
Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree. 1+ years of experience writing, editing and proofreading in a deadline-driven environment Experience managing / updating / maintaining an intranet Demonstrated proficiency in SharePoint applications, with some HTML experience Proficient with Microsoft programs, SharePoint, and Adobe Master Collection programs including video / audio file editing and file conversion Demonstrates knowledge of our business (e.g., organization structures, business strategies, current initiatives, goals and objectives)Occasional travel as needed Preferred Qualifications: Experience in internal communications campaign development, editorial, and communications plan development Knowledge and understanding of healthcare operations and the audience; call and claim center operation Experience in the health care industry Experience within a matrix organization Creative design and project management skills Mastery of AP style Experience in Jarvis (software) Careers at UnitedHealthcare Community & State.
