Posting Summary: UVa Bookstore is looking for a Ecommerce Website Specialist to manage and update ecommerce websites for the UVA Bookstore and Cavalier Computers which include products, content and promotion. Support key stakeholders of all locations in building traffic and sales through the development of strategic marketing materials. Monitor key performance indicators through a content management system (CMS) and Google Analytics. Communicate with third party vendors to ensure optimal performance of website. Provide support, when requested for marketing, on-site and offsite events, or operational activities. Some weekend and evening work may be required
Required Minimum Level of Education: *Degree or Equivalent Experience Required
Required Specific Degree/Training: Bachelors Degree in related field.
Preferred Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Required Specific Experience: Experience working with computer applications and operating systems to include web design.
Preferred Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Preferred Specific Experience: Experience in Ecommerce websites
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Understanding of the disciplines required to drive traffic to retail websites
Understanding of order management/customer fulfillment in an e-commerce platform
Computer literate and understanding of basic web technologies (FTP, browsers, basic HTML, data files)
Previous experience of website, e-commerce CMS, and data management
Basic understanding of Google products such as Webmaster Tools & Analytics would be desirable
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite Products
