Department Profile Professionals within Legal and Compliance provide a wide range of services to our business units. They might help to structure a complex and sensitive cross-border transaction; advise on a new product introduction; develop a training program or defuse an investor dispute. They preserve the firm's invaluable reputation for integrity and protect the firm from sanctions with policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements around the world. They also strive to maintain cooperative relationships with governmental policy makers and the regulatory and self-regulatory agencies that govern the firm's businesses.
Paralegal for the Company Law group working on corporate governance-related matters for the Firm's two U.S. national bank subsidiaries.
Primary Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities shall include assisting with the following:
Corporate governance, including preparation, organization and maintenance of materials for Board and committee meetings;
Board and committee charters, resolutions and meeting minutes and governance matters;
Corporate secretarial management, including secretary certificates, data requests, data management and maintenance, officer appointments, etc.
Skills Required The candidate should have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
The candidate should be detail-oriented and know how to identify matters requiring escalation or attention.
The position requires a level of experience and maturity to be able to exercise sound judgment, work independently and effectively manage a wide variety of responsibilities.
Some financial services and banking experience is a plus but is not required
