Suffolk University is seeking qualified candidates to consider for the Multimedia Content Producer role working in the Office of Public Affairs. The Multimedia Content Producer will develop and tell important University stories, showcasing the work of faculty and the achievements of students primarily through video and photography on the web, social media, and other platforms. Under the direction of the senior content team, the Producer will create engaging videos/images that enhance storytelling content across University channels.
The Producer should be able to work collaboratively to brainstorm story ideas, and then proactively manage their own projects; to interview faculty, students, and administrators on sometimes complex subject matter; and to work under deadlines and produce high-quality content quickly. The Producer will bring a fresh perspective to our content, while adhering to editorial and brand guidelines.
Bachelor's degree in Communication, Visual/Media Arts, Film, or similar discipline
3-5 years' relevant experience in communications or journalism
Proficiency in end-to-end video production, including pre-production, production (cinematography, lighting, audio production), editing and video compression for the web
Experience with DSLR video production and workflow
Proficient in Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro
Knowledge of digital photography
Excellent organization, consultative, and verbal/written communication skills
Able to give and receive constructive creative feedback and contribute to storytelling strategy
Ability to interact with a diverse population at all levels
Experience in Higher Ed public affairs or marketing
Proficient in After Effects, Motion and/or other graphics/animation programs
