Pathstone Mental Health is Niagara's primary provider of treatment for children until their 18th Birthday. Pathstone provides services to more than 4,100 children and youth each year and to over 3,200 parents, guardians and adults.

Pathstone Mental Health is seeking a Full-Time Permanent Director of Philanthropy & Public Relations for thirty-five (35) hours per week. This is a non-unionized position. Working with the members of management, staff and the Board, the Director will establish goals and mobilize the necessary financial and human resources to achieve annual fundraising targets. The Director will provide the key leadership necessary to increase and maintain community support of Pathstone Mental Health while managing media and public relations.
The Director of Philanthropy & Public Relations will report to the Chief Executive Officer of Pathstone Mental Health and Pathstone Foundation and the Pathstone Foundation Board of Directors.

Develop and lead a fundraising program, including donor development and research, grant proposals, sponsorships and management.
Plan and implement an annual revenue development strategy to meet the needs as identified by Pathstone Mental Health staff and management.
Research and develop the Case for Support and related marketing resources, such as brochures and other written materials.
Undertake a variety of public speaking engagements and on-on-one discussions with donors, prospective donors and identified key stakeholders to promote positive community relations and foster an environment of continuing community support.
Working in conjunction with the Executive Management Team and Foundation Board, research, write, and edit appropriate communication materials, including the website, newsletter, advertising, annual report, calendar and brochures.
Working in conjunction with the Marketing Committee, guide the graphic design and printing of materials from concept to finished publication, ensuring a consistent style and message.
Develop media releases, press conferences and media relations, and respond to media requests for information and access.
Coordinate and facilitate donor and volunteer recognition programs.
Coordinate and market public awareness programs and special events.
Recruit, train and supervise Foundation Volunteers.
Strong presentation skills to both groups and individuals.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Must be a "people person", able to network and build relationships
5 years' experience in fundraising or not-for-profit.
Some weekends or evenings required for events and presentations.
