Part Time 20 hours Grade 052 Clin & Social Psychology-MHFC Schedule 10AM-2PM; SOME WKENDS Responsibilities Summary: Serves as Communication Specialist for the Mt. Hope Family Center at the University of Rochester. Responsible for the Centerâ™s public relations and marketing structure, at all times maintaining strong relationships within the University of Rochesterâ™s infrastructure and the community at large. Responsibilities: Handles and coordinates communication in all formats on behalf of the Center, with the goal of increased awareness and visibility both locally and nationally. Oversees development/release of all informational materials; annual report, newsletters, annual giving appeal. Responsible for all social media portals, manages Centerâ™s website and Facebook page. Represents the Center at University and community meetings and events. Is responsible for all aspects of fundraising, ensuring that all events comply with University policies and procedures. Works closely with Centerâ™s Advisory Board-focusing upon fundraising. Must develop strong relationships with the Office of Advancement, Communications Department and Foundation Relations. Develops and maintains accurate solicitation and non-solicitation mailing lists via the OASIS system. Is responsible for ensuring proper submission of financial and in-kind gift information to the office of Gift and Donor Records. Qualifications: Bachelorâ™s degree with one to three yearsâ™ experience in marketing, sales or public relations or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer college degree (preferably in Communications or Journalism) and three or more years of experience in Communications, Advancement, Marketing and/or Public Relations. Demands strong written and visual communications skills, public relations and media experience, as well as organizational skills, attention to detail, motivation and the ability to work independently. Must be proficient with Microsoft and PowerPoint. Graphic design abilities including proficiency in Adobe InDesign and/or Photoshop desired. Prior experience with OASIS is preferred, but not required, as training can be provided, as needed.
