The Humphrey School on-call contract AV technician is responsible for all aspects of multimedia event production for events held in the Conference Center at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. This part- time, on-call position includes evaluation and advice on what media equipment is most applicable for the event, the supplying of equipment for the event and the delivery of audiovisual services for the event. This position staffs day, evening and/or weekend events on an on-call basis and provides first class customer service to all event clients and guests.
PROVIDE AUDIOVISUAL SERVICES TO CLIENTS: 95%
Meet audiovisual needs of extensive client list including Humphrey School event managers
Provide day-of event setup and take down for Humphrey Conference Center events
Deliver and operate wide range of AV equipment from basic meeting setups to day long conferences with audio and video recording needs
Meet and provide information to day-of event clients, assuring them of seamless event coverage
Coordinate with Humphrey colleagues on the design and delivery of Humphrey recordings and Conference Center webinars using WebEx
PROVIDE BASIC EVENT RECORD-KEEPING: 5%
Complete post-event evaluations, to determine future needs
Report hours to Conference Center manager
This position must be able to regularly lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs. and sit or stand for extended periods of time in an audiovisual booth.
