Position supports the outreach efforts of the Energy Services Department. Duties include coordinating
intake events, overseeing intake scheduling for senior homes, establishing relationships in Cook County communities. The Community Outreach Coordinator will also facilitate the development/printing of electronic materials that are compelling, clear, and concise and in a manner that accurately reflects the Energy Services Program information.

Collaborate with Energy Services Managers and Supervisors to develop outreach communications and strategies
Create and manage content across CEDA’s social channels and various publications including but not limited to agency website, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and blog.
Design program flyers and posters
Maintain calendar of events for key
Coordinate all aspects of intake events
Coordinate intake activities as senior homes
Make contact with senior homes to set up formal intake process
Build relationships with utility vendors and community partners
Saturdays and evening hours are required to attend events.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Business Communication.
2-3 years’ experience in outreach, public relations, corporate communications or any similar combination of education/experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
Knowledge of social media platforms and their respective participants such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; good visual, written and verbal communications.
Ability to communicate with diverse populations, functions well independently and in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
